Bookcrossing.com

Posted by turquoisefloyd on July 7, 2004

My other venture of the day, after starting this Literary Blog – My Bookshelf at Bookcrossing.com. Basically, people can register books on this site and set them free out there in the world, leave them places to be found with a note of their registration number in them. Or you can donate them to charity shops or swap them with other interested parties. Once found the person (hopefully) comes to the site and registers their find. There’s a woman in Felixstowe who’s “caught” 102 books and registered 457! Might have to befriend her.
I’d really like to get into this, and document my adventures as I go along. Might even have to recruit a certain boyfriend of mine to get involved too!

Affecting and Effecting An Introduction

Posted by turquoisefloyd on July 7, 2004

You may be wondering what has possessed me to start a literary journal. Well after a long spell of not being able to get seriously into reading, a certain someone lovely and special in my life has reawakened my love of literature and got me reading again.
I want somewhere to document what I’m reading, what I’m writing, quotes, other people’s poetry and my adventures in literature. And I want to link it to my website!
So here it is. Literary Geek – because there’s a little spot of literature in us all.
